Kept me entertained way longer than it should have.. Cute little addictive game.The one gripe I have with this game is that there's no permanent progression after the game. I'd love to see something along the lines of unlocking new characters, new races, little (permanent) buffs, starting with something extra etc etc.For the rest it's good, a lot of variation (would love to see something different for the vault and upper dungeon too), every new playthrough feels like playing a new game, making it fresh everytime unlike in my opinion many rogue-like dungeon crawlers. One last bit of criticism is the balance in certain ways feels off. Ranger for example is very overpowered with his ability to straight up kite, and late game could one shot even the strongest enemies with the right build, also disease incredibly overpowered allowing you to wipe out a horde of enemies with very little effort.6.5\/10 in it's current state, could get an 8\/10 later.. Ever since discovering this neat little game on Itch, I must've put over 50 hours in it.A simple-looking, but incredibly deep and addicting game! If you want to explore some generated dungeons, this is one of the very best. I started playing Rogue Fable 2 on K*ngregate, and have been eagerly awaiting 3 and a Steam release. This game is classic Roguelike, down to the names, and is thoroughly enjoyable in it's simplicity. The addition of races and new equipment from the free version makes it worth the ~$5 paif for it. If you're a fan of the genre, you won't be disappointed.. You've probably never heard of Rogue Fable and Rogue Fable II; neither came out on steam as far as I know, and they were only mildly popular on kongregate from what I can remeber when I played the first two. I came across Rogue Fable II, and it was a very fun, addictive dungeon diving game. I even helped out with a few suggestions that made it into that game, shortly after it was released.Luckily for me, I ended up getting a notification from the developer about the sequel, and I immediately joined Beta testing. There's already far more content in Rogue Fable III than there was in Rogue Fable II, and we're just barely getting started. The creator already has a huge amount of plans, and suggestions from the community, and he's been implementing them one after another at least once a week. The game is rather stable as well, especially since he cleaned everything up before the Steam release.If you need a trial run before playing the game, try the version on Kongregate. It's already quite a bit behind what we have on Steam, but it will definitely help you know if this is a game you would enjoy.. A true rogue-like. Steep learning curve but fun once you get the hang of it.. Played the browser version quite a bit and decided to support the dev.While the browser version is quite a bit behind this current steam version it's still a very good ( and free) way of finding out if this game is for you.
